It is a shame that the annual Christmas market planned for Broad Street, Oxford, has been cancelled.
Previous events had been held at the Oxford Castle and were well supported. The city council says lack of support from nearby traders is partly to blame for the cancellation. But no one appears to have asked potential customers what they felt about its future.
