THE first new units to be built at the Milton Park business park near Didcot after it became part of the Enterprise Zone have been unveiled.

The 12 hi-tech units are nearing completion at Milton Park with the first two already leased to Formula One components supplier 3D NC.

Director Darren Philips said: “We needed modern, high-spec premises to expand and develop our business. The new units at Milton Park give us a contemporary environment at a prestigious location.”

The development consists of units ranging from 1,500 sq ft to 3,090 sq ft.

ScienceValeUK, including Harwell and Milton Park, is one of 10 new Enterprise Zones to be created by the Government after a successful bid by Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership.

Each firm in the zone will benefit from business rate discounts of about £50,000 a year and it is hoped to achieve a £9m-a-year boost to the economy and more than 8,000 jobs.
