An army major from Bermuda, who volunteered at the Olympics, was killed in a car crash on the A34.
Major Christian Wheddon, 43, pictured, of the Bermuda Regiment, trained at the defence academy in Shrivenham as part of a four-month visit to England.
The dad-of-one was recruited to help with security at the Games when private firm G4S did not provide enough guards.
He died after the Mitsubishi Warrior he was a passenger in left the carriageway near Abingdon at about 12.40pm on Sunday.
