Among the thousands of volunteers were others from the county who helped make the games run according to plan.
Tristan Hale, 29, from Begbroke, was a fencing referee for the modern pentathlon.

Osteopath Jas Johal, 23, from Headington, provided massages for journalists at the Media Centre.
She said: “Everyone I have met who has volunteered has loved it.”
