RAIL passengers are facing further delays tonight because of a signalling problem in Berkshire.

First Great Western trains heading south are being held at Didcot Parkway currently because of a signalling problem between Maidenhead and Slough.

First Great Western staff say they have no idea how long the delays will be, but some trains have already sat motionless for 20 minutes.

It follows the earlier problems today when trains were put on go slow orders be ause it was deemed too hot for the rails near London Paddington.

It also comes on the very day the Government announced a £4.5b deal for new trains that theoretically will cut journey times between Oxford and Paddington by six minutes.
