IT really irritates me that so many articles appear in your paper with the final sentence reading: “Thames Valley Police only released details of the incident yesterday.”
As we very rarely see a police officer on our streets these days, apart from those who drive cars and never appear to walk anywhere, surely they must rely heavily on members of local communities coming forward with information? So for heaven’s sake Thames Valley Police tell us what you are investigating with some sense of urgency, in order that we may give you the support you need to carry out your duties more effectively.
