A 55-year-old man has appeared in court charged with attempting to rape an eight-year-old girl.
Mohammed Rafique is also charged with sexual assault. The offences are said to have taken place in Cowley on June 24, 2008.
Rafique, whose address was given as British Convenience Store, Cardiff, was remanded in custody at Oxford Crown Court on Friday until September 21.
