TRADERS in St Clement’s, Oxford, said they will lose out if Oxford City Council pushes ahead with its car park redevelopment plan.
Josh Knight, owner of Cowley Road boutique Indigo, told a full council meeting last night that a three-day customer survey by traders found 91 per cent of shoppers would go elsewhere.
The council wants to build 140 student rooms in two blocks on St Clement’s car park, cutting spaces from 120 to 80.
