I THOUGHT the council was joking when it turned down a Travelodge Hotel in Abingdon Road because it would be an eyesore.
Have councillors noticed the Fox and Hounds, and the old petrol station forecourt, which are overgrown in Abingdon Road? These are eyesores!
I feel sorry for the guest house owners opposite the Fox and Hounds. it is not good for their trade.
