A woman was dragged into the grounds of an Oxford care home and sexually assaulted last night.
The victim, who is in her 20s, told police she was grabbed by a man in Banbury Road and taken into the grounds of Fairfield Residential Home at about 11.45pm.
Officers arrived on scene and arrested a 24-year-old man from Oxford shortly afterwards.
He remains in custody this morning.
Det Insp Steve Raffield said: “This was a frightening ordeal for the young victim and we are determined to bring the person responsible to justice.
“This happened on a busy road and there would still have been traffic and pedestrians passing despite the lateness of the hour."
Anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
