A 35-year-old man is still in hospital after being stabbed in Hurst Street, East Oxford, last night.
He opened his door to a group to people at around 11.10pm yesterday when a struggle ensued and he was stabbed in the abdomen with what police believe to be a knife.
Five minutes later a 21-year-old woman was attacked with baseball bats in Iffley Road in what police believe is a linked attack.
She suffered minor bruising and did not need hospital treatment.
