OXON: Police have urged people wanting information about the Torch Relay when it comes to the Thames Valley not to call the police non-emergency 101 phoneline.
Thames Valley Police said local authorities and the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games had information on the event, while a map and estimated timings of the relay at various points on its travels through the county are available at oxfordmail. co.uk/news/london_2012 It comes after Lincolnshire Police reported an increase in the number of 101 calls when the torch was in the county on June 27.
The Torch Relay will come through Oxfordshire on Monday and Tuesday.
