OXFORD: The teenager accused of stabbing hip hop artist Aaron Buron, known as AZ, has denied murder.
Haydan O’Callaghan, 18, of Saunders Road, East Oxford, appeared before Oxford Crown Court yesterday on a charge of murdering Mr Buron on March 31 and of causing actual bodily harm to Latasha Peck.
O’Callaghan spoke only to confirm his name and enter not guilty pleas.
A trial date has been set for October 1 and the case was adjourned until Friday, July 20, for a directions hearing.
O’Callaghan was remanded in custody. The charges relate to the death of father-of-two Mr Buron, known as AZ, who was fatally stabbed in St Martin’s Road, Rose Hill on March 31. He was 29.
