PLANS for a new country park in Banbury should be approved, a council officer’s report has recommended.
The report urges Cherwell District Council members to approve the plan, for land at Wildmere Industrial Estate, next week.
The council scheme will create a 27-hectare park to link with the Grimsbury nature reserve and reservoir and Spiceball Park.
Planning officer Caroline Ford said the park would be an asset to the area. No objections have been made to the scheme.
The council’s planning committee will meet to discuss the scheme at Bodicote House, in Bodicote, on Thursday at 4pm. The public can attend.
