LONELINESS charity the Archway Foundation has been making the most of Artweeks to celebrate its birthday.

The charity was set up 30 years ago in Oxford to help relieve some of the distress caused by loneliness.

An exhibition of work created by people who use the charity has gone on show at St Columba’s Church in Alfred Street.

One of them was Terrentius Andersohn, pictured, 63, from Greater Leys, an artist who studied at the Royal Academy.

He said: “My wife turned her back on me.

“I was left on my own so my social worker put me onto Archway.

“They try to encourage you not to give up on what you can do.”

The exhibition continues until tomorrow.
