A YOUNG motorcyclist was taken to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital yesterday morning after suffering leg injuries in a crash with a car in Botley.
The collision between the 4x4 silver Honda C-RV and the red Kawasaki bike happened at about 8.50am by the Seacourt Bridge pub in West Way.
Ambulance service spokesman James Keating-Wilkes said the biker was aged about 20 but last night it was not known how serious his injuries were.
Thames Valley Police spokesman Leo Tarring said the accident at the junction with Seacourt Road caused traffic queues.
Tracy Dennell, landlord at the pub, said a bus driver helped direct traffic through.
She said: “There was quite a bit of traffic but it was cleared up by the police fairly quickly – within an hour if not half-an-hour.”
She said about 10 people stopped to help the motorcyclist, adding: “There were quite a few people there looking after him.”
