Fares on Stagecoach bus services across the county will rise by an average of five per cent from tomorrow.
The company said cuts in the fuel subsidy from the Government, plus a forthcoming increase in fuel duty, had led to the decision.
Most single and return fares will go up by between 10p and 50p.
Stagecoach last increased its fares in July 2009.
