A couple raised more than £300 after opening their home to their neighbours for a video game marathon.
Steve and Yvonne Willott, of Lily Close, Bicester, plugged in their Wii games console to raise cash for Parkinson’s UK.
Mrs Willott, who has the condition and along with her husband is joint treasurer for Parkinson’s UK, Oxford and District Branch, also baked cakes to feed the contestants.
Mr Willott said: “The Wii kept everyone entertained all day, with fun activities for all ages, fitness for the adults, sports for all and Peppa Pig for the little ones.
“The ski jump in particular was a big hit with the older children and some of the young at heart adults. Also, it was great to get the neighbours together again for a chat and to catch up with all the news.”
The couple also persuaded nearby Bure Farm pub and the Barberry Place Fish Bar to host collection boxes.
