TWO crashes on the A34 have closed the road today causing traffic delays.

The first accident on the northbound carriageway between the A4130 Milton Interchange and the A415 Marcham Interchange involved three cars - a silver Vauxhall Zafira, a green Rover saloon and a black Ford Fiesta - at 11.37am.

All of those involved were said to have suffered only minor injuries according to a police spokesman.

A collision between a motorbike and a car happened on the other side of the road at 11.52am.

The motorcyclist is being treated for suspected neck and pelvic injuries and the air ambulance helicopter has been called to the scene.

The road is closed in both directions to allow it to land.

Traffic is being stopped at the footbridge over the A34 the police spokesman could not confirm where the road closure ends.
