YOUNGSTERS from Oxford were telling ancient tall tales this week.
They were recreating Aesop’s Fables as part of a two-day workshop put on by Creation Theatre.
Children aged between five and seven took part in the workshop at the Barefoot Books Studio in Summertown.
The ancient Greek stories use animals to illustrate moral lessons, such as The Lion and The Mouse which tells of the importance of mercy.
Five-year-old Maya Gibson, played the Mouse.
Six-year-old Harvey Hall, from Botley, played the net which captured the lion in that particular fable.
He said: “I like acting and I had a really good time but it was tiring.
“We did lots of different stories but I can’t remember the morals of all of them.”
