CITY councillors last night threw out plans to open a kebab restaurant in Park End Street until 3am.
Bodrums, which is run by city councillor Saj Malik, can currently stay open until 1am.
Police officers strongly objected to a further extension, fearing it might make it harder to get people to leave the area.
The decision was taken by Oxford City Council’s west area planning committee last night.
