Youngsters are being invited to call in at a Chilton garden centre to pick up free seeds as part of its spring gardening celebration.
From April 14 to April 29 visitors to the garden centre in Newbury Road can collect free packets of cress seeds.
Manager Lisa Brady said: “We will be handing out free activity sheets to give youngsters tips on how to grow cress in a variety of containers.”
The event coincides with the Royal Horticultural Society’s National Gardening Week, which takes place from April 16 until April 22.
