OXFORD: An elderly man was rescued from his flat by firefighters after a fire broke out in his kitchen.
They were called to Ridgemont Close, off Woodstock Road, at 11.45pm on Sunday. The man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
