I WOULD like to take the opportunity to bring attention to a wonderful website called doglost.co.uk It brings people together to help reunite owners with their missing dogs and helps find homes for others.

I have only recently become involved, but I am constantly moved to tears with the warmth, kindness and eagerness of people compassionate enough to want to help.

Being part of a group supporting someone going through such a distressing time, as well as physically getting out and about searching, spreading the word, generating posters, etc is a wonderful feeling.

There must be a lot of people out there who wouldn’t mind spending a few hours walking in beautiful countryside and getting fit for a good cause. Help is always appreciated.

There have been some wonderful success stories recently, with the assistance of micro-chipping and it is so important to safeguard your pet should it get lost or stolen.

There are many dogs lost/stolen every day. It is easy to log onto Doglost.

There are pages featuring lost, found and some heart-warming stories in the reunited dogs.

Doglost is on Facebook as well (Doglost Oxfordshire). The more people that know about this site, the better.
