On Tuesday February 21st, between the hours of 6:30pm and 8:30pm, the Ashmolean Museum will open its doors to new students in Oxford to come and marvel at the collections in a rare after hours experience.

The event will feature curator-led tours of the galleries, free entry to the brand new, critically acclaimed, special exhibition "Visions of Mughal India: The Collection of Howard Hodgkin", music from Notting Hill Arts Club DJ Dom P (curator of the the Ashmolean Museum Late Night series) and 20% discount in the museum's cafe and rooftop bar as well as 10% in the museum shop.

All students in Oxford are welcome to attend with this being the first Fresher's Night since the museum's grand re-opening in 2009 following the huge refurbishment project which has led to the Ashmolean becoming the most visited museum in the UK outside of London.

All student's wishing to attend should RSVP to the following email address: events@ashmus.ox.ac.uk Based on information supplied by Tom Jowett.
