PERHAPS Thames Water would explain why it was necessary to send three operatives to check the water meters here in Eynsham?
They all went around together, one with a small crowbar raising up the inspection lids, the second man using a long spike removing the polystyrene protection block above the meter and the third man appearing to do nothing except get in the way of the other two operatives.
Surely this is an unnecessary waste of resources when one operative could do the complete task himself?
No wonder our water bills are so high if Thames Water cannot use its workforce more efficiently.
