A RAID at a Rose Hill home recovered four bikes which police believe were stolen from around Oxford.
Acting on a tip-off, officers rushed into the property in Nowell Road just after 9am yesterday and found four mountain and road bikes which are thought to be worth about £2,000.
Police officers said that one of the bikes, which was security marked, was registered as stolen and will now be reunited with its owner. They are now trying to establish whether the others were also stolen.
PC Chris Proto said: “We executed a warrant and found the bikes. They are a range of mountain bikes and racing bikes.”
A 38-year-old man from Rose Hill was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and has now been bailed until March 14, pending further enquiries.
