OXFORD Christopher Berry, 56, of no fixed address, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Oxford on November 16 and being drunk and disorderly in Oxford on November 18. Fined £80 and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Adrian Lear, 39, of Foxwell Drive, Headington, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Wallingford on September 23 and commission of a further offence while subject to a suspended prison sentence. Jailed for 14 weeks because “offence was so serious, because breach of trust, strength of blow, injuries caused, and committed within five weeks of receiving a suspended sentence order imposed for domestic-related harassment”.

Thomas Bubb, 51, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted shoplifting £272.82 of razors on September 3; shoplifting £167.94 of alcohol on September 5; shoplifting £322.56 of alcohol on September 7; and shoplifting £137.96 of alcohol on September 2. Also admitted a breach of a conditional discharge. Given a six-month drug-rehabilitation order and excluded from Sainsbury’s in Thame for a year. Told to pay £200 compensation.

Abdulkarim Alasadi, 41, of Leys Place, Oxford, convicted of driving without having proper control of the vehicle in Windmill Road, Headington, by holding a electronic organiser in his right hand on April 27. Fined £175, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £200 costs. Given three penalty points.

Martin Fletcher, 39, of Walton Street, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Oxford on November 8. Given a nine-month conditional discharge and told to pay £50 compensation.

Adam Nash, 33, of HMP Bullingdon, admitted shoplifting £144.95 of alcohol from Co-op in Steventon on November 15 and breaching a suspended sentence. Jailed for two weeks.
