VETERANS vowed to keep supporting forces charity Help for Heroes as they handed over a cheque for £275.50.
Members of Bicester Ex-Services Club raised the cash with a stuffed toy raffle at their Sheep Street meeting place.
They gave Help for Heroes Oxfordshire co-ordinator RAF Sgt Dave Lewis, based at RAF Benson, the cheque on Sunday.
A huge stuffed bulldog and giraffe were raffled last year.
The club will hold another raffle at the June 4 Bicester Carnival with prizes “Sergeant” the tiger and “Major” the Dalmatian.
Club trustee Patrick O’Driscoll, a veteran of the 23 Royal Pioneer Corps added: “I know there is not enough being done for the guys who are coming back now. You are out there trying to do a job for your country and no-one really knows what it’s like.
“It’s important to support them.”
