Dom Utton has struck on a truth when he says the English are far more prone than other nationalities to internalise frustration at poor service.
While some may think he’s been excessive sending 78 letters to First Great Western since June whenever his train has been delayed, or that some of his subjects are a little eccentric, he is striking a blow for the silent majority.
This month fares went up almost six per cent and companies like First Great Western need to know when they fail to provide a decent service.
