LAST Friday, January 20, the British government, through Ofcom, instructed the Sky satellite platform to remove the Iranian English-speaking channel Press TV off the air in an act of political censorship which you would have expected in the old Soviet Union.
That same day on the ITV 10pm news I listened to how Iran had supposedly threatened to wipe Israel “off the face of the map”, a deliberate and intentional misquote.
They went further and referred to Iran’s nuclear weapons programme, which, as anyone will know if they pay close attention, doesn’t actually exist.
Clearly there’s a deliberate campaign by the UK Government to mislead the UK population in exactly the same way as they did with Iraq under Blair.
Are we really prepared to see another one million-plus deaths just for the sake of controlling oil supplies and preserving America’s hegemony in the world?
For those interested in seeing what is really going on in the world and for those willing to move their satellite dish away from the Murdoch monopoly, Press TV is still viewable on the Hot Bird 8 (13E), Eurobird 1 (28.5E) and SES ASTRA (19/2E) satellites or online.
