BURGLAR Thomas Pancott is wanted on recall to prison and now finds himself featuring as Badvent suspect 23.

The 33-year-old admitted breaking into a Headington home on May 14 last year and he is now accused of breaching the terms of his prison release by police.

At the house in Glebelands, he helped himself to an iPod, a camera and a wallet containing cash.

Pancott also admitted carrying out another burglary in Cutteslowe, Oxford.

On May 24 last year he ransacked a property in Southdale Road and stole three mobile phones, two laptops, jewellery and a camera.

Now police officers want a call from the public to help them catch up with Pancott to make sure he’s back in his cell in time for Christmas Day.

Det Sgt Claire Storry, of Oxford CID, said: “Pancott has a number of previous convictions for burglary. He has links to Blackbird Leys, but could be living anywhere in Oxford. He is white, 5ft 8ins tall, slim, with blue eyes, short, straight, dark brown greasy hair, a beard and moustache. He has several tattoos.”

The Oxford Mail’s crime crackdown has already resulted in four arrests plus one already charged and sentenced.

Det Insp Paul Miller said: “Burglars don’t have any scruples about whose house they steal from. They don’t care if you’ve saved all year to buy presents.

“Some will burgle two or three houses a day and will keep going until they are caught.

“In the short term the solution is to lock them up before they ruin someone’s Christmas.”

If you know the current whereabouts of Thomas Pancott, call Ds Storry on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
