A GROUP of bereaved children were taken to Cotswold Wildlife Park as a Christmas treat.
The group of about 15 youngsters were taken by SeeSaw, the Oxfordshire charity which helps children and their families through a major bereavement.
Jake Baxter, seven, from Wallingford, said: “I had a nice time. My favourite animals were the lions.”
His mother, Kate Buckett, said: “One of my friends died of cancer and they were fairly close to Jake.
“It was amazing that SeeSaw organised this trip.”
The children were able to meet the turkey chicks and reindeer as well as the meerkats and otter pups.
They also met Santa Claus in his grotto.
Cotswold Wildlife Park’s Debbie Ryan said: “SeeSaw is a wonderful local charity.”
