A POPULAR pub in Blackbird Leys is still calling out for memories of the estate to adorn its walls.
The Bullnose Morris in Watlington Road reopened earlier this month after a massive refurbishment.
It had asked punters to bring in pictures of Blackbird Leys and the BMW Mini plant in order to create a wall of memories of the area.
Manager Ruth Wilson said: “We have been here as a pub for a long time now and we want to celebrate.
“The community in Blackbird Leys is so strong, so we want memories from the past to show that to everyone.
“So far a few people have told us about pictures of the car plant from years ago, but we really want pictures of the community itself.
“We’ve got some Oxford city ones and then we’ve stuff from Oxford United, but we’d love some more local ones.”
The refurbishment was funded by owners Greene King and features a new restaurant area, sports section, toilets and disabled entrance.
Contact Mrs Wilson on 01865 771430 for the picture to be collected or pop into the pub, where the pictures can be copied.
