Long-lost footage of David Bowie rediscovered by an Oxfordshire cameraman will be aired tonight for the first time in almost 40 years.
It will be shown on a Christmas Top of the Pops 2 on BBC2, 7.30pm.
Fans feared the clip of the star performing Jean Genie live on Top of the Pops in 1973 was gone forever after the BBC wiped the tape.
But former BBC cameraman John Henshall, of High Street, Stanford in the Vale, shot the original show and had kept a copy in storage.
Mr Henshall said: βIt gives me extra Christmas joy to know that so many people are excited about this.β
