Sir – May I add my support to Melinda Tilley and Jerry Patterson who leave the council room when prayers are being said (Report, December 8).
What has being a traditionalist to do with this function? Why is the Vale the only district council in Oxfordshire to retain this tradition? Has the council ever had a free vote to decide this issue?
