Moblie telephone firm Three has launched a new store in Didcot to serve a massive surge in demand from smartphone users.
Three estimates the equivalent of around 552,000 MP3 tracks are now downloaded on phones on its 3G network every month across the area. As well as opening the new store, Three has also spent more than £860,000 in the last two years increasing high-speed mobile data coverage in the district.
Store manager Ben Willoughby said: “The store is in a great location. I have five other members of staff who are all very excited about showing people the benefits of smartphones and demonstrating what they can do.”
The new store is situated in Superdrug in the Orchard Centre.
