THANK you for printing my letter (Oxford Mail, November 18, Bus company driver lacked any courtesy).

In his reply (Oxford Mail, November 24), John Mackie of Bus Users UK quite rightly pointed out that I had got the service numbers of the buses I talked about mixed up when I wrote in. I want to apologise for my genuine mistake and for any confusion or offence that was caused as a result.

Having said that, I can assure Mr Mackie and the other respondents (both in the paper and online) that my account of what happened to us that evening was otherwise completely accurate and my facts about the two incidents were quite correct.

I would now just like to clarify that my letter correctly identified which bus driver showed consideration to a customer (Stagecoach) and which one did not (Oxford Bus Company).

Hopefully this now sets the record straight and clears up any misunderstandings.
