A CLOTHING and homeware store in Cowley is the latest business to stage a VIP shopping night for Oxford Mail Loyalty Club card holders.

On Thursday, stores in Marriotts Walk in Witney staged a VIP late night shopping night for card holders.

Now Matalan in the John Allen Centre is to stage a late-night shopping event for card holders next Wednesday from 6pm to 9pm.

When readers show their Loyalty Club cards they will receive a free mince pie and glass of mulled wine.

And when they spend £30 or more, they will also receive a £5 voucher which can be used over the next month and there will be a free Christmas wrapping service on the night.

The store’s marketing spokesman Lorraine Horwood said: “It should be a great night at Matalan for all our customers including Oxford Mail Loyalty Club card holders.

“The first 100 customers will get a goodie bag and it will be a good opportunity for shoppers to do some of their Christmas shopping.

“We have lots of glitz and glamour and on-trend colours in skirts, trousers and dresses and across our whole range of clothing.

“Women will be able to pick up everything they need for the party season.

“We have women’s clothing in all sizes including plus sizes and maternity wear and so far this is our only late-night shopping night.”

Oxford Mail promotions manager Jo Coady said: “Loyalty Club card holders had a very enjoyable shopping experience at Marriotts Walk in Witney.

“Now we are looking forward to our first VIP shopping night in Oxford at Matalan. We hope as many Loyalty Club card holders as possible come along on the night to take advantage of special offers and free mulled wine and mince pies.”

Those planning to attend the late-night shopping session who are not card holders are being reminded that it is not too late to register with the Oxford Mail so that they can also enjoy the VIP benefits.

Readers are asked to register in advance for the event through the website oxfordmail.co.uk/loyaltyclub.

There will also be a prize draw which card holders can enter on the night.

Those who pay for the Oxford Mail by direct debit pay £2 a week instead of £2.40, the equivalent of getting one Oxford Mail free every week.
