IT is good news that we are not to have a three pence increase in fuel duty in January.

I wonder why the residents of Kidlington are being ripped off by Sainsburys?

I have noticed over the past few weeks the different prices Sainsburys charge their customers.

Petrol at Kidlington is £1.35, at Heyford Hill £1.30 and at Swindon it is £1.28 per litre.

To fill up 10 gallons at Kidlington is £3.50 more than at Swindon. Three times in the past three weeks, diesel at Kidlington has gone up by 1p per litre only to be reduced by 1p per litre two days later.

They have their promotions (spend £60 in store and receive 10p per litre off fuel), which means in reality if you live in Kidlington you only get 3p off per litre. I now fill up elsewhere and if a few more motorist did the same maybe Sainburys may realise that just because we are a village, we are not all village idiots.
