FIFTY pupils from four Oxford schools were given a taste of the world outside the classroom in 1989.
They split into groups and spent a day with seven firms to learn about life in industry and commerce.
The group right are pictured at APS Masonry at Osney Mead with manager Andy Maclean.
The pupils are, left to right, Leon Price, 14, Gregory Reid, 14, Kay Richards, 15, Trevor Maloney, 14, Bryan Smith, 14 and Paul Hedges, 14.
The pupils were drawn from Peers School, Cheney School, Milham Ford Girls’ School and St Augustine’s.
The scheme called Opening Doors was organised by the Technical and Vocational Education Initiative.
