A 75-year-old woman has been missing from her home in Townsend, Abingdon, since Saturday.

Police have appealed for help in finding Valerie Adam, who is described as 5ft 4ins tall, of medium build, with blue eyes and straight, white collar-length hair with a left sided parting.

She walks with a pronounced limp, but does not use a stick and officers think she may have been wearing a dark green three-quarter-length overcoat.

Det Insp Mark Johns said: “Valerie has been known to go away for a few days at a time without letting people know, but she has not had any contact with family or friends for a few days now and we are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare."

Anyone with information should contact Di Mark Johns at Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting reference MP/06775/2011.
