The woman who set up Bomber Command Association’s Thames Valley branch has died aged 91.
Mary Gibson, of Cedar Court, was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force during the Second World War and was made an MBE in 2006 for her work with the Bomber Command Association later in life.
She died at the John Radcliffe Hospital after a long illness. Her funeral will be held this week.
