Especially so for 87-year-old Ken Cook who, having been diagnosed with lung cancer and then suffering a heart attack, felt his chances had all but run out.
But thanks to an innovative procedure performed by surgeons at the JR hospital, the Watlington grandfather-of-four says he now feels “as fit as I did when I was 21.”
Congratulations to Ken, and once again, the truly astonishing work of those employed in our health service.
Miraculous.
