A SECOND man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of Denis Witney.
Wayne Cattell, 36, of no fixed abode, was charged today by detectives following the death of the 39-year-old on November 9.
Mr Witney, 39, was found injured by a police officer in St Clements Street just before 9pm and died later at John Radcliffe Hospital.
The cause of his death is not yet known.
Cattell will appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow as the second person charged with murder over Mr Witney’s death.
Today 29-year-old Daniel McCollin, of Blay Close, Blackbird Leys, appeared before Oxford Crown Court for a preliminary hearing into the matter.
Two women also arrested over Mr Witney’s death have been bailed pending further enquiries.
