THE four people being held on suspicion of murdering a man in East Oxford can now be held by police until 5pm.
The 39-year-old victim - named locally as Denis Witney - died on Wednesday after being injured in St Clement's Street.
Two men and two women were arrested by officers on suspicion of murder and a police superintendent has granted a 12-hour extension to detectives to continue to hold them until 5pm, a spokesman said.
