AS a resident from Longmead, Abingdon, I was surprised to find my neighbours standing beside their car at 10pm on Sunday, October 20.
A person had driven into their car at speed and pushed it into their other neighbour’s car.
The driver had driven off while they were still in their houses, so they couldn’t take down the number plate.
My partner and I saw a blue Peugeot driving erratically a few roads down with damage to its bumper and front tyre.
I was horrified as once the police were informed, they refused to take the case further as no-one had enough descriptions.
What’s more concerning, is that the person driving, if it were accidental or intentional, is still driving on the road and hasn’t had the courage to come forward.
On another occasion a person could be seriously injured. It was so fortunate that nobody was harmed. People need to be made aware of these types of incidents.
Name supplied, Longmead, Abingdon
