PEOPLE convicted of offences at Oxford Magistrates’ Court recently:

* Adrian Lanczak, 22, of South Lodge, Waterperry, admitted drink driving in Abingdon Road, Oxford, on October 4. Had 54 micro-grammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 microgrammes. Fined £300, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned for 14 months.

* Michael Thompson, 19, of Nowell Road, Oxford, admitted stealing a cycle in Oxford on September 1 and failing to surrender to police bail on October 18. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 fine, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £15 costs.

* Tina McDonagh, 27, of Samphire Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting cans of Coca-Cola and Red Bull from Martin’s Newsagent in Oxford on July 25. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £5.27 compensation.

* Timothy Stern, 29, of Peregrine Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting an iPad 2 valued at £390 from Western Computers in Oxford on April 8; failing to surrender to court bail on October 12 and shoplifting two pairs of sunglasses valued at £310 from Sunglasses Hut in Oxford on June 30. Jailed for 11 weeks due to “previous extensive convictions”.
