MANY will be saddened to hear Dunkirk veteran Les Collett has passed away.
Mr Collett was shot in the shoulder as he fought to escape from France in the Second World War and each year led remembrance ceremonies in Wolvercote.
His actions remind us how important it is to support the Poppy Appeal being launched on Friday.
