IT’S not often pupils tuck into a bucket of popcorn during lessons, but pupils enjoyed classes with a twist last week.
As part of Film Education’s National Schools Film Week, schools were given free tickets to a host of films.
Among them were West Oxford Primary School and Brookside Primary School from Bicester, who visited Odeon on Friday.
They watched Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader at the cinema in George Street.
Other films featured included Winnie the Pooh, the King’s Speech and Pan’s Labyrinth.
Tower Hill Primary School teacher Louise Conroy said: “Some of our pupils had never been to the pictures before and the whole class benefited from the experience of going to the cinema.”
All the screenings were followed up with online resources and talks about what the children had seen.
